"Yes, that saddle (client's current saddle) really fits."

At the time, I was standing jaw-dropped and eyes bugging out because there was THREE INCHES OF DAYLIGHT between the underside of the saddle, and the horse's back. It was a 17" Western saddle set on an elderly short-and-dippy-backed Arab, and it just barely touched at the front and the back, nowhere in between.

All I could do then, so aghast I couldn't speak, was wave her over and position her so she could see.

Yeah. I feel you on the S-AE's, but at least there's one who got her immediate comeuppance. That trainer never did forgive me...Galadrielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03383321455657803304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8315761897298237483.post-10381108093545479182010-06-10T15:05:51.074-04:002010-06-10T15:05:51.074-04:00When they are hanging is it wrong if we walk up an...When they are hanging is it wrong if we walk up and push them? You know, so they swing...

Word verif is swayin. I swear it! And no that was not a hint towards my comment here, but funny how that works. Talk about Karma!

In relation to Melisa's comment, I feel the same way. Some people are hell bent in killing themselves. If they are running towards the cliff- I can't stop them. Getting in their way only means they may take me with them over the edge.

I just step aside and let them run. Maybe they will trip and fall down before they reach the edge. When they get up they can either start running again or change directions... It's up to them.Cut-N-Jumphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03603347619547454296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8315761897298237483.post-32667202106759209132010-06-10T12:55:15.910-04:002010-06-10T12:55:15.910-04:00Perfect analogy, Melissa! Like an Aikido move, I simply move aside when they come at me with their aggressive non-information.

I lament to myself that I can't help them if they do not wish to be helped. I also can't help but feel like they deserve what they get.
