Just got a heads-up from Nikki Newcombe at Bliss of London. If you're interested in going to the London premier of the movie War Horse, Bliss has some free tickets available. And not just any free tickets - VIP tickets that will get you into the movie AND the pre-screening party. Here are the details:
Would you like to join us on January 13th 2012 for the opening night of the film War Horse? We are giving away 10 pairs of VIP tickets for you and a guest for this very special evening. If you would like to attend, all we askk is for you to e-mail us at contact@bliss-of-london.com with the subject title "War Horse" and include your name and address and the name of your guest. The first 10 emails received will be notified within the next 3 days and your tickets will be sent out by special delivery.
Hosted by Bliss of London at Odeon Cinema, Swiss Cottage, London, NW3 5EL.
Reception party starts at 7:30 pm. Presentation at 8:30 pm.
So if you or someone you know is lucky enough to be in or around London, contact Bliss and get tickets. I wish I could be there, but I WILL be seeing the movie here in the US that same day. I'm arming myself with a full box of tissues (I can't make it through the trailer without tearing up!) and going with a bunch of fellow horsewomen. I'm sure we'll all be bawling like babies by the end of the movie.
And if you'd like to get a preview of the truly stunning saddles that Bliss of London is creating, visit them on their FaceBook page and give them a "like".

Kitt - Many thanks for the promotion, as you can imagine the invitations didnt last long and we are very sorry to any new readers but "all seats are now taken", some of which by your own UK followers! I am sure I will be joining you in the tears on Friday.
I got tickets! Thanks so much!! :D
Nikki, I had a feeling the tickets would go quickly. And Ellen, congrats - I'm sure you'll have a great time!
Kitt, if it weren't for the fact that I spam the link to your blog everywhere I can, I wouldn't have clicked on the link to your blog on Monday. And I wouldn't have seen this. Thank you so much for posting the competition - and thanks ever so much to Nikki for a lovely evening! Bliss seems to be a wonderful emerging saddle make and I wish it the best in getting a market share (shame on me - I just bought a Kieffer from Germany!!). As for The Brooke, I'm very happy to have discovered such a worthy equine charity. : )
Ellen, I'm glad you had such a great time. I have no doubt that Bliss will be a roaring success; I worked a LOT with Nikki back when she was Sales Mgr. for Black Country, and she's very, very good. And the Brooke sounds as though it does a lot of good - wish there were more organizations like it.
Hi Kitt, I managed to get tickets. Thank you for advertising it otherwise I would never have known. Me and the +1 (my long suffering boyfriend) had a great night. By co-incidence we were sat next to someone else who was a reader of you blog!
The Bliss saddles were just superb and I still have my pack of Bliss yous. All in all a fantastic night and well worth the 200mile sprint from Liverpool! Thanks again.
Heyy, it was me you met! I never got to say it, but it was really nice to meet you! And the mutual looks on our boyfriends' faces... priceless haha :D
Anyway, I'm on Facebook as ellen klaveness if you want to keep in touch : )
I'm tickled to death, Ellen and Anon., that the two of you got to meet up! You have to picture me, a middle-aged saddlefitter, sitting at the computer in my office (either at home in a town of 425 people, or at work over the barn and indoor arena), grooving on the fact that 2 people in London at a movie premier have read my blog. It really just amazes me.
